About Denise

Denise has over 30 years of experience working in Vancouver, B.C.’s thriving Film industry. The first 13 years were spent in the Set Decoration Department, acting as lead and on-set dresser. In 2007, Denise transitioned to the Art Department working her way up to the position of Assistant Art Director- Set Design, where she works as a Sketchup and Twinmotion professional.

Always endeavoring to further her education, Denise attended Film Design International’s ‘Art Direction course for Film -Certificate in Draughting’ taught by British Production Designer Terry Ackland-Snow.  She also holds certificates in  AutoCAD from Dalhousie University, Landscape Design from the Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University), and a Forensic Sciences - Advanced Certificate from B.C.I.T.

Denise enjoys all aspects of the design process and is comfortable on or off set. She is fast and efficient creating 3D models, construction drawings, and if needed, video virtual walk-thru’s of sets she has modeled. Denise also has excellent collaborative skills and attention to detail, making her an asset to any crew.
